My class went together....Sort of. What I want to convey is that you can look at the sim schedule and find those names on the seniority list. Then you can find there class dates and keep track of there progress. And guestimate how much time you have left.

I was the oldest in my class how did not quit but I was in the sims with everyone else.

Hope that helps.

As long as you are getting paid don't worry about it. A few months down the road after training is over you will wish you had extended time off.Enjoy it and don't worry about it

It looks like 2/3rds of the November class are in sims , and some are still waiting to be scheduled . The sims are not being scheduled by seniority. The captains are getting scheduled first. They assign you a sim partner in QPT, and you'll do your flow and call out check with your assigned partner . You will probably get assigned another partner for sims, and that's been our experience so far in the Nov. class. I heard they lost a lot of the sim slots this month because another airline took them back . I wouldn't take it as gospel just passing on what I heard . The schedule changes a couple times a week so the training department is doing there best with what they have to get us through . Enjoy your seniority number as you get paid to sit at home .

If one is getting paid to stay home, could one use that free time and use their newly found travel benefits? Seems like not the worst deal in the world.

Yep, you can definitely do that. Just be sure to choose where and when to travel wisely...it would sure be embarrassing to be stuck on the other side of the world only to find out you're starting sims in 2 days.

As another person mentioned...keep an eye on the training schedule to see who is in the sims and what class they're in to get a rough approximation of when you'll be expecting to get called.

Default Trips

What are the typical trips at PDT? Do you guys see a lot of these 12 to 15 hour 4 days? Are there any 20+ hour 4 days out there? How about 3 dayers?

The trips are the worst part about being here. But not because they are hard. It's because they are easy and waste your time.
Minimum pay and maximum sit. My 4 day is
3 hours of flying (12 hours duty)
2.5 hours of flying (7 hours duty)
3 hours of flying (8 hours duty)
And 6 hours of flying (11 hours duty)
14.9 hours in the plane for 4 days on the road. It equates to 16 hours of total pay.
I would rather do three 12 hour days and fly 24 hours total and go home exhausted with a day off and a bigger check.

But just say to your self industry leading pay, flow, great people, etc.....
