We finished up on the 31st of December and no one from our class has heard a thing. I keep hearing mixed reports of both the Nov class just finishing up in sims and I've also heard that some Nov new hires still haven't even gone to sims yet. That's why i was trying to hear it from people in that class bc I'm sure they know if people still haven't gone through yet

Go on the webpage - Flight Department > Pilot Training and look at the sim schedule. Then correlate who is in sims vs. where they stand in reference to the seniority list. Then you can "sort of gauge" how much time you will sit around doing nothing. I went through a year ago and it was 2.5 months but that has changed.

So they schedule sims based on your seniority? So someone towards the bottom in their class would go last?

I am a NH for March 6. So I can't look on the website, since I don't have an employee number. Can someone else figure this out and post non-proprietary information here - please? Sims are running 24/7, and I think its 2-3 weeks in sims for the monthly class - so training should be slowly catching up...
Im just trying to figure out if I should plan something for after indoctrination.

You can plan on having at least a few weeks off after indoc.

My class went together....Sort of. What I want to convey is that you can look at the sim schedule and find those names on the seniority list. Then you can find there class dates and keep track of there progress. And guestimate how much time you have left.

I was the oldest in my class how did not quit but I was in the sims with everyone else.

Hope that helps.

As long as you are getting paid don't worry about it. A few months down the road after training is over you will wish you had extended time off.Enjoy it and don't worry about it

It looks like 2/3rds of the November class are in sims , and some are still waiting to be scheduled . The sims are not being scheduled by seniority. The captains are getting scheduled first. They assign you a sim partner in QPT, and you'll do your flow and call out check with your assigned partner . You will probably get assigned another partner for sims, and that's been our experience so far in the Nov. class. I heard they lost a lot of the sim slots this month because another airline took them back . I wouldn't take it as gospel just passing on what I heard . The schedule changes a couple times a week so the training department is doing there best with what they have to get us through . Enjoy your seniority number as you get paid to sit at home .

If one is getting paid to stay home, could one use that free time and use their newly found travel benefits? Seems like not the worst deal in the world.
