I'm not sim tech, but would assume it will take most of next week to assemble it and get it running?

So what start date is next in line for simulator training?

yeah.. it will take more than a week to get it ready. more like a month or so. not only is the install but all the checks, recert by the FAA, etc.

The sim that my last company bought took a little over 2 months to get assembled and operating so the FAA could inspect it. It is usually a long and slow process. There are literally thousands and thousands of little details that need to be checked.

Really? I never thought it would be that long.

Naively assumed it would be more like:

"Take Part A. Glue to Part B. Plug in, turn on, check big wobbly bits wobble correctly. Start Training".

Your talking about that Airline that still can't get Ipad's online yet!!! We seem to think we have to reinvent the wheel on everything, somit usally takes an additional 4-5 years to do the simplest task!!!

I figure I will post this here instead of starting a new thread. Is anyone here familiar with Piedmont's Cadet Program? My understanding is that it is something that you apply for prior to applying to somewhere like ATP Flight School. Is that correct?
