Corporate background here as well. Interview is very low-threat, so no worries there. I briefed an approach, understand microbursts/windshears and what control/power inputs you'd need to make in the event of encounter. Think about a few examples when you flew with a guy who was a rule breaker, tough to get along with, etc. They might ask why you would make a good First Officer or Captain as well.

I'm a Dallas guy, I second the Whataburger opinion. A honey chicken biscuit should diffuse the situation. Not sure how well that'd transport though.

Same thing Corporate guy (2300 hrs and 1200 turbine) looking to make the jump and whichever airline I fly for I will live at base. I've been comparing companies. Some of the earlier airlines to offer big bonuses either have horrible training stories or seem like turn and burn. PDT seems to have just made their move. Is this a good time to move on PDT? QOL, good company (training & management), base choice? I'm wanting to fly as much as possible how much can I expect to make a month if I put my ass to the grindstone?

Definitely appreciate any info I can get. This is all new territory for me.

Base choice is PHL for the jets. We will get another jet base in the future but we don't know where it will be. It's a great time to come to Piedmont now. Check your PMs.

How QOL would working with PDT while commuting from DFW? Doable or it'll suck?

how many AA or other flights are there from DFW to PHL every day? That would be the question to find out. multiple ways to do that, let me know if you need help figuring that out.

if there are a lot of flights then it shouldn't be that bad. I'm in ATL, have lots of flights to PHL so I believe mine isn't going to be bad but I'm in training and not doing it yet so time will tell.

I'll let you know, still haven't started systems, but Indoc Commuting (if you want to call it that) was simple.

Last I checked, I had the option of 9 flights per day from DFW. Options abound!

Since I haven't got out there and really tested the system, it *appears* to be somewhat manageable on two points:

1. Reserves "should be almost nonexistent" More airplanes and limited pilots coming through the 145 pipe seem to make that a reasonable guess. Trying to remain optimistic.

2. Some of the trips appear to start late or end early. There's buffers for how soon you need to be at the domicile (PHL in this case) so perhaps you can work a few trips where you have to use a hotel (two per month from the company) on either the front or the back end.

This is all optimism, but I'll plan on getting stuck in Philly and miss a flight home at some point. Nature of the biz, I guess~ Maybe there are some other DFW guys in the company? I hadn't noticed anyone on the list as DFW based, but there may be others.
