Does AA run enough connections through BOS to make it worth a base for 50 seaters? I always thought that place was barely hanging on and being taken over by Jet Blue? Disclaimer, I'm super ignorant about anything north and east of Philly.

Yes, exactly. I had 3 years previously as an AMR employee (Flagship Eagle--before it was renamed Envoy). As an old timer, I have less than 10 years left in the 121 world.
I was leaning towards ENDV but I would go to any of the WO' AA carriers but if I get credit of the 3 years for travel benefit purposes towards the 10 years from AA then in the Donald's words-- "it would be huge."!

1. No positive space from overseas. Only from a U.S. city within network of AAG.
2. No credit for previous employment with AAG for the purpose of retiree travel benefits.

Just got an answer to my questions from the Manager of Pilot Recruitment at Envoy and so I expect it will be the same for PDT and PSA as well.

For me the travel part isn't that big a deal. I was going to be home this summer anyway. Positive Space from a U.S airport seems fair. I think part of it is that they don't want to deal with ticketing issues overseas and all that it may entail with security etc etc.
Regarding travel benefits, yes that does. I will consider AAG but knowing that there won't be travel benefits after retirement makes ENDV and others equally appealing, since I am not concerned about the flow as much due to age and stage in life.

CaptYoda, one thing I'd consider is time to upgrade. With prior 121 time and time in aircraft. You could be short listed to not just capt, but possibly training dept/soe area. Movement is so fast up there that you could be making serious cash not far removed from training. That's something you wouldn't have at other regionals.

Yes looking at that angle. ENDV is appealing because of their new base (ATL) and I would be about 2 hrs from the airport. I also flew the CRJ-200 17 years ago until 9/11. Upgrade is probably less than 2 years. PDT would be the quickest upgrade probably but would involve a commute. I will apply to them both and decide if/when there is an offer to consider.
A good buddy of mine commutes from ATL and he has no issues. Most lines right now are super commutable, especially from large hubs. I commute from DTW and have had no problem making it in on the day one and home at the end. Commuting is not optimal, but so far it's been fine. Especially with our commuter clause etc. if you have any questions please feel free to pm me. If I can't answer it I know someone who can.
