You can get all the time at home (not 'off') you want if you're an FO that bids reserve and lives in base.
If they don't call me the next two days then I'll have only gone in to work a total of 7 days this whole month! Reserve coverage is much greater next month and I've already got a 4 day premium trip scheduled so with any luck it will be the only flying I do all month but I'll still credit well above guarantee. Between the pay raise, bonuses, premium flying, and bidding reserve while living in base, I'm totally okay with barely going in to work and being able to make over $6k/mo.

A few non rev questions...
On NRTP, what's the difference between listing as coach or first class? Just my wife and I traveling. Do they throw you up in First if they've got the space?
Also, as D2 travelers, you still get charged the "mileage" from the trip that gets deducted from your paycheck, correct?

Never had an issue, but if you only list for Coach, then you are screwed if only First Class is only thing open, listing for a First will give you a seat anywhere on plane if open. Doesn't cost anymore. Also, we fly for free in either class, only thing you pay is taxes for international, so it doesn't matter what you lost as. Not sure how the guest passes work, if my friends can't afford the plane ticket, they prob don't need to go on the trip to begin with, ha.

That's pretty much what I was saying. I'm sure it doesn't hurt to ask these questions, especially if you've never done this stuff before.
