decode a metar - long - not just the basic 5-6 things, but all the stuff at the end that your eyes normally just glaze over when you see it. I always brief meters and TAFs in manly(raw) not sissy(decoded) format, so it was easy.

brief an approach (you can choose Jepp or NOS - so no excuses)
brief an airport diagram

I just interviewed last week and a March NH. I also got asked holding speeds, stages of a thunderstorm, and talking through a microburst.

HR questions was negative attribute and transition to 121. No TMAAT questions.

Supposedly March class is full and April is getting there.

Minimum pay and maximum sit. My 4 day is
3 hours of flying (12 hours duty)
2.5 hours of flying (7 hours duty)
3 hours of flying (8 hours duty)
And 6 hours of flying (11 hours duty)
14.9 hours in the plane for 4 days on the road. It equates to 16 hours of total pay.
I would rather do three 12 hour days and fly 24 hours total and go home exhausted with a day off and a bigger check.

But just say to your self industry leading pay, flow, great people, etc.....
As long as they are commutable! What are the typical start and end times?

I'm not a commuter so it's not an insight I have. Perhaps someone with better knowledge of commuting will chime in.

This is a Dash-centric take, but one thing they seem to be good at is purity of lines. A morning trip stays a morning trip and vise versa. Unfortunately, that means only one end of each trip is commutable, but that's where the commuter rooms help out a lot.

Default Taking notes

Interview is coming up quick! I've spoke to some of you and I'm grateful for all the info. One last question (probably not my last), is taking notes during the presentation and QA portion of the interview okay? I'm a heavy note taker, no joke, but I don't want it to come off as rude or disrespectful. Thank you all!

I didn't take notes but I don't think that would be a problem at all. They basically tell you to make yourself comfortable, ask questions, this is your time to get all the info you want.

They also gave me a packet that outlined the presentation

Our presentation went quick, I don't remember if we got any literature or not, but there were guys taking notes. So I'd say it's no big deal. Remember, you're just as much interviewing them as they're interviewing you!
