We Antipodeans use some strange words and correct spellings.
Colour.
Labour.
We also refer to Coriander, not Cilantro.
Spring onion, not Scallion.
We watch cricket.
And drive on the correct side of the road.
However, should we attain lawful employ with an illustrious organisation such as American's subsidiary Piedmont, and have the opportunity to guide the magnificent Embraer beast through the ether, then...we shall be happy as Larry.

Oh, yeah, and thanks for the info on the question. SiG.

Flow is contractual in 10 year CBA. Classes have been full since the pay raise/increase bonus. People here are great. Good time to be atPiedmont.

We are the highest paid regional airline. Classes are full every month. Our CEO said 800 pilots. Even new guys with no 121 will be able to build hours quickly with no reserve time right now and can get 1,000 hours in about a year and a half.

I don't know why people keep thinking this. It's contractual, and if your here by 2025 your seniority will hold your spot.. The train is full steam right now and this place is doubling in size in the next year.. If you want in and want to be in a good spot I would be calling the recruiters relentlessly to get the first available class. That being said there are other options but if your gun shy playing wait and see, your leaving lots of seniority and literally 100s of thousands of dollars on the table towards your retirement.

Enough of me spilling the kool aid....

Will there still be Dash spots in the next year? I did read they are going away but it can't be all at once. So, you get hired as an FO, most likely on the jet but can you then bid right away for a Capt slot on the Dash?

Thanks for any info.

I've heard they are taking names for a dash class and they will run one for new hires when they get enough. I wouldn't hold out for that though. Unfortunately, I can't help you about jet FO's bidding Dash captain. I think the company is enforcing the seat lock portion of our CBA at the moment.

Pretty sure this is inaccurate. Unless you can show us that your new hires make more than $57K min guarantee, that is.

This is true. Hopefully not for long... I was in the November class and went to sims two weeks ago. Most of our class is in sims. We had a four week wait, 75hr guarantee paid time off.

The training department is scrambling to keep up with the influx of new hires and candidates. There will be growing pains, but it'll get sorted out. Could be worse.... six to seven month wait for sims at CommutAir (that comes from CommutAir guys out here in sims now). If you want the money and upgrade, with flow in your back pocket as an insurance policy, this is the place to be.
