Well thats good, at least it went to Skywest Inc. Hopefully ASA will get a slice of pie sometime soon.
ASA in LAX would definitely be appreciated as that was the sole reason that I came here. I'm tired of commuting from SAN to ATL.

Not quite sure where ASA came into play but sorry my friend that isn't going to happen; there is only two ways that you’re going to reduce your commute time.

A. Move
B. Quit

That's just the harsh reality of it. Also; you decided to go to an east coast airline for their very small and unstable west coast base?

Interesting.............

Good Day.

MKE folks get first choice at LAX so in other words it will not be very senior at all, unless of course most people choose ORD.

What makes you think the MKE pilots will get first shot at LAX? It will be awarded according to seniority.

That would be the day. The company is screwing some senior bro folks however. Typically with a new base opening the company runs a new class - they are not with LAX as it seems. There are a lot of p'd off senior folks in San Diego and Palm Springs on the EMB who have been waiting for this day for a LONG LONG time and are going to be bypassed for transfers already in the seat. No Union, No protection.

Senior or not, those pilots who are being displaced out of their base should get priority for base selection. It's not a union thing. Union carriers have similar displacement provisions in their contracts. I think the way the system is set right now is totally fair. I've been displaced out of a base and it sucks. The senior folks in PSP already have an RJ/EMB base. Why would they be yearning for an LAX base? The SAN guys will have bumping rights when that base gets closed, because of EMB reductions.

In the past the company has run a class, because there has been growth and pilots were needed to fill spots. This is not the case in this situation. Training is expensive and the company's not just going to run a class because some senior people finally decide they want to transition.
