Hey I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers. I will say though that I've had a lot of friends at other airlines "hang on" for as long as they could, before the ship finally sank. Since they were the last to go, when they got hired at other airlines, they were junior to the people who were junior to them at the original airline.
I just think that you shouldn't go down with a sinking ship. Yes, I know the industry is in shambles from a hiring perspective, but if any of you guys at Mesa have an option to make a lateral move and still stay in the industry, I would consider doing it. Nothing worse than being an F.O. to the guy that was your F.O. at your previous airline.

Mesa is not the only regional struggling right now. Someone could leave Mesa for another and the new company goes under. It is very likely that Mesa will file Chapter 11, but still might recover and move on. I don't think anyone with some seniority should consider moving. No one is safe. All the regionals are dependant on the majors and who knows which major airline will be the next airline to crumble or file Chapter 11. The advantage Mesa has is they have contracts with several different majors.
... by low balling everyone else to get those..

Thank yourselves for being rescued from this company! DO NOT APPLY TO OR FLY FOR MESA OR IT'S SUBSIDIARIES!
You just don't understand how bad it hurts the entire industry. The practice of undercutting EVERY other airline in the industry is the reason so many can not get ahead and hire you in the first place. Pay rates are crippled, contracts are held back, and morale is low chiefly because of Mesa's predatory business practices that put many of my friends in the streets in Hawaii.. and several more soon to be on the streets in the Mainland.
Why do you apply to a company when you know it is the WORST one in the business? Why don't you take experienced pilots advice?
There is no fixing Mesa.... but if you go there, don't expect a warm reception at your next airline interview. Any pilot who went there in the last 5 years knows exactly what they are responsible for in the industry.
