I was in PWM last night and sure as hell....the FO had his stripes on backwards......I didnt say anything as it was 4am....but they are out there...

The Colgan Kids are much worse....hang around BOS for an hour and count how many backwards stripes you see

It's probably overblown gossip to some degree, but I can personally say that I've seen it. As previously posted, it was on an MSP shuttle bus last winter. The FO was a -900 driver, and was gloating that he was on the 9 to an NWA mainliner.

PLEASE don't post any pics of our guys doing this...walking around like this is bad, but having the picture printed out and sent across the CP's desk would be even worse. I think this is more of a pro stans. issue.

For once and all, the Eagle Saabs are NOT coming to XJ. They're going to REX, a big regional in Australia. From Wikipedia:

Aircraft orders
Rex has ordered 25 ex American Eagle SAAB 340B Plus aircraft, which have extended wingtips (offered as an option on Saab 340B Plus aircraft) to increase flight performance and fuel efficiency, plus improved interior soundproofing. The first was originally scheduled to arrive in late 2006, however Rex took delivery of the first on April 30, 2007; it entered service on June 6th. By March 2008, nine had been delivered, bringing the REX fleet to 40. The 340B Plus aircraft (which will have 34 blue leather seats) will be painted in the REX livery prior to delivery and are fitted with the optional Hamilton Standard propellers (present on all current and former American Eagle Saab 340B aircraft) instead of the Dowty Rotol propellers fitted to the existing fleet.

As hard as you might find it to believe, XJ CRJ-900/"9 Drivers" dont go around and brag about the airplane they fly. As much as you might like to think they do. Why is it so terrible if they call their aircraft the "9"? Is that what we are worrying about today? Is the DC-9 the only aircraft that can be called a "9"?

Spooled-Why dont you concentrate on your own companies problems (and stop worrying about one new hire XJ FO) plenty to keep you busy there.

I agree, this is the most ret??ded thread I have seen. Probably a new dude didn't know how to put his stripes on correctly and then didnt want to admit it when called out. Who cares....Also, I have never heard any 900 guys running around bragging about their plane. Its complete luck of the draw what plane we got assigned as new hires as far as I know. In fact, most 900 FO's I talk with wish they were on the Saab because thats where they will most likely upgrade to. Worry about yourself and your own company. God, now I just wasted two minutes of my life writing this crap..

Umm... all I said is that is "what I have heard or read". I really don't give a rats a$$ what you guys do at Mesaba. I got on my own problems at my airline.
