Default Republic, Shuttle, Chautauqua

I haven't seen a thread about RAH lately and the ones about Midwest have been locked so I thought I'd start this one. I'm sure there will be a lot of news and info resulting from the Midwest flying as well as about furloughs and any hiring that may happen resulting from this new contract. I'm also wondering whats happening with Chautauqua's crjs and the 135/145's, staying, leaving? any news will be appreciated, thanks

none of the furloughs were canceled. the CRJs are going to the desert and the 135s are being sold over seas. the only 145s scheduled to leave are the 7 united planes ( Dec 2009). None of us here are thrilled with the Midwest deal.

I recently quit cause I had something better come along where I live. Also, I didn't want to go back on reserve and the only reason I went there in the first place was to upgrade and those aren't going to happen again for quite a while. It's an ok place though, better than most it seems. I had a good time there anyway.

Stand up and tell you management that NO you will not be used as a tool to whipsaw other pilot groups. Time will only tell if the RAH pilot group stands on principle or caves in to management.

I dont want to start anything here.
Maybe now is a time to reflect for all the new readers here.
I know when started two years ago, I had a good impression of what a good company was, and was not.
Then as quickly as I thought I had a handle on it, then things start to change in an instant.

My opinions only.............

Republic, good, then starting to change for the worse.
Expressjet, good, will always make money, now do no think quite so much
TSA, when I started thought it was bad, then it starting getting better, now since I have left, bad again and not sure where their bottom going to be.

Colgan, never thought to much of them two years ago, but seem to be more stable relitive to the others.

Point being, my impressions and perceptions have changed nearly 180 with all airlines that i have studied and reserched.

It is damn shame when I feel a good airlines now is one that is stagnant from viewed a year or two ago.

Working at RAH is like being the new ho on the block. The older ho's don't like you because you are younger and prettier and get more attention from the Johns, but at the end of the day you're still a ho and so are they.
