The wheels are coming off at Pinnacle

Someone mentioned they rather be short one month and thin for the rest of the year, but one would think that the loss of revenue is far greater then the operating costs.

I'm with you, they are just mean.....and rather stupid.

This thread has turned into arguing which ground crew is better. I have seen over 2 years of MEM/DTW/MSP and the issues of waiting for wing walkers/push back crews/gate agents. I will not say that MEM is better than DTW, each place has their issues. IMO DTW is horrible about getting people parked, whereas MEM can be a ghost town when its time to leave. MSP can have issues on both ends depending on the day/time. No base is perfect and to be honest the work ethic in DTW and MEM is similar in my opinion- Not my job- seems to be the theme.

Truth is it all changes from concourse to concourse as the managers change...
My observation: MSP you will wait forever to park, but they do everything right once you are in the gate. DTW will park you, but they are completely and utterly incompetent after you are parked. MEM is just random, never know where the laziness will set in.

What else would you expect from a bunch of "professional" regional pilots?

If you can't whine about someone "stealing" your routes and/or airplanes, may as well whine about who has the better ground crew, least stale pretzels, or flattest cokes. Come on guys get real, at least argue about something we actually have control over, or something interesting like who has the hottest FA's...

I am chuckling a bit to myself because this is posted somewhere, every year for the past twelve years, after the first winter storm. Excuse me, I mean "IROP" :-)
Things will never change. I have been gone from there for nearly a decade and it is still the same. Just relax, network, and bide your time.

That comment is not only out of left field, but also very false. While ASA has lost flying hours and the ATR, 9E has lost thousands of hours as well and we are only using 116/124 -200's and 16/18 -900's. The contracts we have have a min airframe number and DL has simply dropped utilization and raised the spares for the overall system. To say 9E stole ASA's flying is only an unfounded argument.

uhhhh Higney wasn't the one complaining about losing flying.......I think you should direct the "waaah" at the person in your mirror, because that is the tone of all your posts that involve pinnacle/comair/etc. vs. ASA.

And yes, there's some bad blood when we at ASA were told we'd get the airplanes if we did a good job, so we did, then we find the airplanes were given to an operation just because they are cheaper.

ohhh you mean like Pinnacle did to Pinnacle pilots when they bought Q's for Colgan? But you won't see me whining about that every post like you do and having "bad blood" towards their pilots. Honestly I think you are the only ASA guy that complains about that kind of stuff on here... like the same thing hasn't happened to almost every regional pilot in the past 15 years...

Waaah to him for complaining growth at Pinnacle wasn't fast enough. Waah to you for your disappointment in my posts.

NOWHERE in this entire thread had ASA or growth/routes been discussed. There hasn't even been hints to our Delta operations. You thread hijacked and now I will call you out for BS.
I believe in the last on time reports ASA was one of the worst on-time performers (and has been for a while now). I have friends at ASA and have been told how things can be over there which puts you guys at a disadvantage, but fact of the matter is there has NOT been a positive performance trend over there. To say that "we were promised, we performed, and we weren't given the planes" sounds like a big WAAHHH to me. No chest thumping- just using research to prove the BS.
