Yes, Pinnacle is only operating 16 CRJ-900's. The 5 or 6 we received a few months back (that mesa was operating) were put in our fleet (to bring the total to 16) after we got the DL flying back with the stipulation of the -900's deliveries would be pushed back. The remaining 5-6 are due in the beginning of 2009 and as we receive a new one from bombardier we are transferring a mesa jet (that we are currently operating) over to mesaba. Mesaba grows and (in theory) Pinnacle is not growing or shrinking the -900 operations with this deal. Hope that is easy to understand. This is discussed in the PNCL Q3 SEC filing available through yahoo finance.

Yup.. that seems pretty clear. But is Bombardier delivering those 5 airplanes altogether in January alone or are delivered one per month from January till May? Because it earlier seemed like the scheduled delivery was spread out between jan and may, but now it appears they are coming sooner?

3 greens... you need to just relax a bit my friend. Just because you hear about 3 planes being delivered does not mean anything special (since this has been known about) and nobody on this board has more info than what has been released in public. There are trolls that may know more, but its not posted info. Pinnacle (mgmt) is debating displacements currently (sent out an official memo), they know the delivery schedules (they have to cut a large check for each bird) so this should all be in the equation...

For your sake just let things flow, getting all spun up around every single event will only make you stressed and bothered.

Wahh, wahh. Maybe if there was premium pay for certain holidays worked, coverage might not be a problem. Sick time benefits are for sick time irregardless of what time of year it is. I would be sick if I had to work Christmas, Thanksgiving or New Years!

Has anyone heard that they are going to flush the hiring pool and start all over with the new year since it's been so long since they did any new hire classes?
