Reading the title of this thread and they way every forum member is talking regarding how 9E is facing difficulty scheduling, reserves flying so much, people timing out.. I can only hope they start new hire classes back up soon.

Compass has already started hiring (according to one of the other threads) and has a NH class in jan. So hoping the new year 2009 brings about the same for 9E. Also wish the company and its employees the best of luck for the upcoming year along with making good progress and a setting/maintaining a great record. Not to forget.. lets hope they get the contract.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!!

My observation: MSP you will wait forever to park, but they do everything right once you are in the gate. DTW will park you, but they are completely and utterly incompetent after you are parked. MEM is just random, never know where the laziness will set in.

Ah ha! Now this I can agree with. Good points there, everybase has its issues.

Ok so I just saw this on the airline pilot central website for 9E under quicktake:

- Receiving the remainder of CRJ900s in January

Anyone know anything about this? As in which remainder of the 900's, the 5 expected from the manufacturer between Jan and May? or is this regarding those freedom airplanes?

I'm not sure if this is even true but this was posted on the website on 23rd December (just yesterday). And it just says January, maybe it implies "starting" in January.

Anyone want to shed some light on this? comments.

3 Greens.... take it from someone who works here...its not the glamour that you are hoping for...ie..It was a PAYCUT from unemployment to fly here.

I think it refers to the airframes coming from the manufacturer. If you read the Pinnacle Corp Q3 SEC Filing it states that part of the agreement to keep flying with Delta was to defer the in-service dates of the remaining seven -900's until Jan 2009 thru May 2009. It also states Bombardier has agreed to delay delivery of five of those seven until that period.

Definately true. If you heard the stories at American Eagle in O'Hare. You'd be amazed. And its been this way the last 5 days. Incredible things...

Oh and we have had zero reserve or standby pilots for 24th and 25th. and Eagle doesnt want to hire...

Well, Mesaba is supposed to start revenue service with the Freedom planes Feb 12, so more than likely those 5 you speak of are the ones originally ordered from the factory for Pinnacle.
