about 150 yards from my crash pad some guy got stabbed the other night...and apparently the owner of the grocery store on the street got shot about 3 months ago...
i haven't heard much about muggings...i've crossed the street at random spots a few times to avoid what i thought would have been a bad situation...call me paranoid but i would carry an old wallet with a few dollar bills in it in my back pocket and my actually wallet in my shirt pocket...

I'm not sure if we will see anything out of this but who knows?
THERE ARE CURRENTLY 71 AMERICAN EAGLE PILOTS ON FURLOUGH
*
1.***** Pilot Staffing
*
Since the initiation of pilot furloughs, ALPA has received substantial evidence of a shortage in pilot staffing, even after the ‘training bubble’ has deflated.
*
At yesterday’s bi-weekly meeting, ALPA informed management that we believe our pilot staffing is not sufficient to comply with Section 11.M of our CBA which states, “The Company will staff a sufficient and adequate number of pilots, including reserves, to cover all known flying, vacation, training, leaves of absences, known sick leave, and attrition.”
*
Per the conditions of a previous grievance settlement over pilot staffing, ALPA has now notified management that it believes the company is in violation of Section 11.M and requested additional information on current and planned staffing.* We have taken this step prior to pursuing resolution through the grievance and system board process.
