LAX base will be shut down first before that! is SFO/SNA/SJC no longer a destination or just a rumor?

SFO-SNA is going from 5 flights a day down to 2, SJC-SNA is going from 7 flights a day down to 5 and they are eliminating the 5 SAN-SJC flights.

Out of LA they are adding 2 SAN turns, and 1 more FAT, MRY, and SBA turn on top of the SAF and ROW flights.

That's ok i guess with the addition of SAF/ROW.. atleast they added some flying/destinations. Even better, two more flights to ksan now that the overnight is back to downtown!!!

Anyways...is that happening? or did I misread?

AMR previously announced a 7.5% cut, and they changed it to 8.5%, so not that big of a change compared to what we were expecting.

Is that why there are saying they are overstaffed still, even after the existing furloughs?

E.L is reporting 60 more furloughs at Eagle in August.

I wouldn't call that the most accurate source of info. I'd have thought they would have to announce that by now and provide affected pilots notice.

I'd wait for a more confirmation before I got worked up over it.

That small detail certainly didn't stop them last time...

Even if they were to play by the rules they'd have till the end of July to notify people of an August 31st furlough date.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more furloughs.

Or maybe Republic will buy us out...and continue on their evil plot to control the
aviation world!

this really puts a damper on me ever holding a line...

meeko031 06-30-2009 02:11 PM

wait, im confused.. I thought the second half of furloughs didn't actually happen? I sleep under a rock so I don't really know the current news!!!
