$23 a year for a first year wonderchild flying a mainline aircraft, their FO payscale is maxed out at $37. seriously guys, are you going to sell yourselves and the rest of us all out to fly a bigger better airplane for less money? Hope you see what your doing and your union can figure itself out because your airline is going to destroy the industry!!! ps your not a scab, but if something isnt done to block this bs or give the flying back to the mainline pilots you stole it from at Midwest, your just as bad! A new new term needs to be created for those who allow or take jobs at a company that makes strides to destroy our profession!!! bacs, backwards scab!

Nobody is saying this isn't a disgrace! What is disgraceful is that people are bringing pay into this conversation. Yes we should be paid more to fly them, but you're missing the point. We don't want to fly them!!!!!!!!! If we don't, we get fired. And yes, this is different than GOJets. People left TSA to go to that airline. People were hired off the street to go there. Put yourself in a RAH pilots position. Would you leave your job if this happened, just out of principal?

Look, I'm at DAL and don't have a fight to pick in this one, but the guys I know (including my own blood) from Republic are professional pilots that are FAR from subpar regional scabs that actually care about OUR future in this industry and want NO PART of this UNLESS the contract is correct. Matter of fact my bro said if the contract isn't nailed down he will set the brake. 99 seats, ok for now. 100 hell no. Not at these rates. Before you throw the scab thing around, talk to their guys. They hate this too (unless they are lying to me) Just take a breather and see how this plays out.

For the love of Buddah people, when the 2003 CBA was negotiated at CHAUTAUQUA there were no E-Jets. Now its 2009, and they are deeply involved in contract negotiations.

Yes their FO pay sucks, especially in the larger airframes, but nobody knows that better than RAH pilots and don't EVER forget the circumstances that surrounded their negotiating of that non-concessionary CBA (namely the threat of a non-union Republic Airlines taking the US Airways E145s from Chautauqua).

Before everybody gets all school-girl jealous that they're not the ones flying these narrowbodies (really, none of you here would quit your job out of principal if your airline got those airplanes) give RAH pilots an opportunity to fix their compensation via Section 6.

Yes, the line between a regional airline and everything else just got blurred. A lot. But don't act so surprised...

This is a bad precedent to set. This is a continuation of the degrading of the aviation industry. Let the race to the bottom continue! How long till they are flying 190's across the pond for $99 each way? It's not the fault of the Republic pilots, its their piece of crap management team.

Just because you're at delta now doesn't mean that this couldn't affect you (and everyone else) in the future.

It's not easy to be simpathetic. The reality is that a lot of republicans are going to be enjoying upgrades and watching their seniority move at the cost of Midwest pilots. Good luck to the RAH guys and gals in their fight.

WOW So...you DIDN'T like the contract. Yet you wound up going there anyway? Sounds like shiny jet syndrome.

What's the status of the Midwest negotiations, if there are any? What will it take to get to a strike vote? (if that's even a remote possibility at this point)
