Really? Even current FO's that would become CA's are currently typed?

They could put a big dent into this "problem" if they truly wanted to.

Bedford would ask, "So is it REALLY worth you putting your career on the line?" and you can say, "Yes, it is."

Just think how wonderful that would feel.

all i can say is that our union had better stand up RIGHT NOW and prove they deserve to represent us.
Jetblue pay scales are the very minimum. BB has crossed the line this time.

Yeah, smart idea, thanks.

Hey, didn't say it didn't have personal ramifications. You made your bed, now either lay in it with fingers pointed or do something about it.

(like your post above says.....glad to hear it!)

The POS lawyer that negotiated the last one was just owsted by the IBT. We are on the road to making things better here. So where do you work? Did you ever fly for a regional or just get hired by a mainline carrier from the street?
Looking out for the future RAH pilots and not selling them out. That's what I mean. If the senior pilots of all majors took this attitude before selling out the junior list ("scope" which you all know happened) we all would/will be in a better place. Stop thinking about your present and think about the future (industry). I met a 76 capt. the other day that told me to my face that he didn't care about the regionals and their future because he wants to get "his" right now and is content and is about to retire. Not cool.

I know it was a little over a month ago, but i remember saying i heard this was coming down the pipe...http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/re...-rah-190s.html My source may not have been the best (FA) but in this case, she was accurate....

Sorry to see the industry heading further down this path.

Well it finally came true... when I went thru initial 170 school in STL in DEC07/Jan08 the checkairmen were talking about 190's THEN. As some have said above I dont know of anyone at RAH who like this, but they will fly them. I also agree that JetBlue rates or or within a dollar or two or this deal blows chunks.

to the guy using the SCAB tag... not even in the same universe. People use that word way too easily. NOW.. if MidWest strikes..... RAH boys and girls better NOT fly those blue tail MW birds.... that would be scabbing.

Then why, in 2003, did they negotiate payrates for aircraft up to 99 seats? By the way these aircraft were not on the property then, nor were there any plans to operate them.

However, by giving management the same FO payrate on all aircraft, and negotiating sub-par 99 seat rates, any leverage they had has been removed.

Had they only negotiated payrates for the aircraft types not on the property, management and the union would have to come to terms on the new airplane type rates of pay. More than likely all other 100-seat operators would have been considered and the payrate would have been much higher.

Seriously, can we even put RAH in the "regional" category anymore. I think not. (FO pay...yes Category...not so much)
