What if it does violate scope? Management knows the ALPA at the major won't set the parking brake.

The Mesa pilots told management to take the 737's they wanted us to fly and to shove it...

Will you guys at RAH do this?!?!

Majors including Airways and Jetblue both fly the E-190. Now a regional flies the E-190. wow. that is all I have to say. 100 seats at a 'regional' airline? I think with the advent of the 170/190, the crj700/900/1000, and Q400, the term regional airline should be completely phased out, and we should revert back to commuter airlines. Does that even make sense, I dunno?

Maybe we should just call them low paying airlines, and high paying airlines. 'commuters' are now flying the same capacity as major airlines. I think Danny Tanner and Uncle Jesse would be very dissapointed. sweet mercy

What you are failing to consider is that if these planes are configured to 99 seats, we already have a payscale in place. Did mesa have an established payscale for 737's.. did PSA have an established payscale for 900s? The difference may seem insignificant to you, but in reality it is huge. We will not be "asked" to fly these planes, we will not have a chance to "vote" to fly these planes. Under our current contract and a 99 seat config, we HAVE to fly these planes or face certain termination.

What would be good to show some unity would be for no one to bid the aircraft and if they want you to fly it, they have to displace you... That would be a step in the right direction.

Honestly..the short term loss of losing the job, compared to the long term implications this has on EVERY SINGLE airline pilot in the country is a trade off ya'll should be willing to consider.

They can't all the members of a cohesive pilot group......

I wonder how the Delta MEC is feeling about this seeing that DAL owns 47% of MEH and DAL has 100 seat/EMB 190 pay rates in their contract? Looks like the undercutting that we were warning them about has started. It also looks like two big Brazilian carrots were just dangled in front of the MEH negotiating committee.

P.S...All the press releases I have read say the planes will be configured for 100 seats. Of course everything is subject to change. You KNOW that every attorney on retainer at MEH and RAH was was told to look over this deal and develop a defense of it.
