Attention Sky West Poolies..............

As for you longer wait to get on with Skywest over Skywest ASA, then yes, in integration you should get a 6-12 month shift in DOH over a Skywest ASA pilot. But this is the problem you will have until you get rid of the whipsaw.
Why? If you think it should be an integration because we are all one company, then why not go straight DOH? People made their shoice on where to go, students of mine took the 600tt shot at ASA, I instructed 18months, flew in AK, freightdogged for another year to get 2100TT before coming to Skywest, now I'm supposed to be junior to asa folks that went there because it was 600tt? I made my choice and I am junior to alot of my students, I'm happy with my decisions but I'll be hella ****ed if 600tt superwonders from asa boot me further down the list
Actually, the tables will turn for the SKW pilots, eventually. But what incentive will the Skywest ASA pilots have to help you guys then, because you did nothing to help them. Fair is Fair
I'll expect nothing from them if the tables turn, what could they possibly do? What can we possibly do? Shall I go tell chipaway that I want to be furloughed so asa fo's can come be retrained in the bro?

I understand what you're saying here about us all being Skywest just different paint but it's just not reality, if it were then I would expect every ASA pilot to strike until I get to keep my health benefits like they do and all ASA jet Fo' should strike until us Skywest Bro fo's get equal pay with them.

That said, doesn't Expressjet have a Charter division? Those pilots are all under one list. What about Republic? Yes, they bought two new additions, but they are merging those in.
ASA is Skywest and if the two lists vote on ALPA together I'm pretty sure 51% would say yes.
As far as I see it Skywest furloughed its own pilots out of seniority that fly planes with ASA painted on them and offers them to start over on airplanes with Skywest painted on them. All Skywest pilots.
Look at the Pinnacle pilots that fly airplanes with Pinnacle painted on the side. They are getting screwed by management given flying to Pinnacle pilots with Colgan painted on the side and growth out of seniority order. Not to mention the upgrade bidding. Skywest could do the same thing to their pilots that fly with Skywest paint.

Keep an eye on Republic. They have a HUGE mess on their hands. It's going to be a nightmare merging those groups. Why do you think Delta wanted to get an agreement between pilot groups BEFORE acquiring Northwest?
Ask US Air and America West pilots what they think of each other. It's downright hostile at times.
Fact is, it's entirely up to Skywest Inc. what they want to do. No one is getting screwed because Skywest Airlines and ASA were two different companies from the start. They may merge someday in a more merge-friendly environment. It just doesn't make any business sense right now. Both companies are in good standing as they sit. It would be a bold decision to shake things up when they're this stable.

I think that is the weakest question to try to discredit someone. Since that is what it always leads to... to discredit someone... I will not tell you.
I have a very good grasp on what I'm talking about and if you choose to ignore that... enjoy your whipsaw.

I think it's a VERY legitimate question. Someone who is preaching in a condescending manner, hopefully is at least not contributing to the problems he is blasting. The fact that you won't say is removing any credibility that you had.

Is this to imply you're credible? Or unemployed?
