Default Interview and Sim

Hello all... long time reader, first time poster. I have an interview coming up with AE, just looking for some more insight on the interview.

Sim Ride: Is it glass or steam gauges. Popular approaches/procedures, pit-falls/other advise for a first time 121 job.

Written/HR/Tech advise?

Any other good place for info to prep with besides gouges on will fly for food/APC, Everything Explained for the pro pilot, ATP 121, ect?

Thanks in advance!

Why yes. Yes it is....

Never on a carrier myself but I did fly in the Navy for 20 years. Occasionally we flew over carriers and some other grey company yachts.

The 65 Rambler taking the CAT shot represents the vehicle I would be allowed to fly off the carrier in my position as a C-130 and 707 flight engineer.

Default Sabre question

What is the difference between the n4d open time command and the n3d?

In searching for open time to proffer I saw that one command brings up a trip and the other shows the trip but with someone assigned......

Since it's your first post I can't PM you. I can send you all the info you'll need for your interview, if you wanna post your email.

Also, it's a G1000 simulator, if you don't have ANY experience, you'll want to find a sim quick and get some time in.

N4D shows what is still open and unassigned. N3D shows open time as well, but with who it was assigned to. I just use N4D to proffer.

Were you at ASA?

When I used N4D there was a sequence that was assigned under N3D. I was curious why under one command shows at open and then under N4D itsvopen and unassigned.

Trips can be picked up and swapped multiple times. What is the code next to the trip in the N3D. You are just seeing the history of a sequence as it gets passed between someone and open time. Also do N3DR which will show how the trip became open. I'm guessing the trip you are looking at was assigned to someone with a composite or relief line. If it was under the N3D it will have BO as the code. Then they found a better trip to trade for so under the N3DR you will see TT or OO if they automatically or manually trip traded away. Or if hell froze you'll see a DT for a drop.

When I was on reserve I used N3DO to see what was actually open. N4D works too...
