That vacancy don't mean is going to be fill with new hires. Actually means that anyone in the ATR can go to MIA EMJ or any other EMJ FO from another base can get a transfer. It can be a guy in a new hire class moving from DFW EMJ (for example) base transfer to MIA or a 1 year ATR guy in SJU (another example) moving to EMJ MIA.

That's how I haven't hold a line yet in ORD, people moves from everywhere and push you down in the list. And as someone comes, others go.

No I am talking about ALREADY awarded, not including this opening bid, I am talking new hire classes and transfers that just showed up in the flow chart/have been showing up for months and adding more and more. If you were hired Jan 1st, you would be like 30 of 85 in that base come late fall, which is really good. Fairly new hires are holding lines there.

Nov 2010 hire and my 3u shows 47 of 69.

He might be around the 50 to 60s.

that is right now, there are about 27 new hires coming out of training over the next 2 months for mia emj, plus another 15 transferring down. Go on the union seniority tool from June 1st and look where your seniority number would put you, then go look at the july flow plan and factor those additional people in to your position. I bet you would be like 30 of 80.

What about the guys in Aug 1st class? I'm not sure how all this works. Is it pretty certain we'll all get the ATR? It doesn't matter to me what plane I just don't want SJU base. Thanks.

The current vacancy bid closes at the end of the month so it won't be clear what positions are open for the August 1st class. But they are very short on the jet. So unless you're in your early 20's I'll bet most go to the ERJ.

And even if you do get SJU ATR remember to put your bid in for a different base. Some guys only spend a month or two in base before transferring.

Good luck.
