Is not 12 for sure, I'm having mine this month. So is at the 10th month after you start class.
Well I don't do OT is not worth it for me, since I commute to other place to see my girlfriend.
But I've made a couple of $1,800 checks at the end of may and july. But I'm not working a lot this month, because I want to study hard for that probie ride. Being a bit senior in ORD RSV is good. I haven't worked the last two days with RAP 2.

JFK RSV there is basically no such thing as RAP. Worst possible base in the system to have RSV.

Hi guys,
I just found this forum and what a great thread for Eagle life! I have just spent the past couple hours reading much of it.
I have two questions that may have been answered but I did not see them addressed.
1) When you are offered a class after passing the interview process, can you pass on classes for a couple months these days?
2) In order for you to be on the seniority list, does that occur on the first day of class or when you complete training. I ask this about the Oct 11th cutoff for pilots being on the seniority list to maybe someday get to mainline.
Thanks for your responses!

Ok, Just this once.
You can asked to be passed for a class or two (highly NOT recommended because seniority plays a big part on QOL). The difference between being on reserve for a while or holding a line sooner can be as little as one class, but you might have other things that might not allow you to be at class. Make sure you are upfront with them, so you don't burn any bridges. As far as seniority, you will get your number assigned on the first day of class (by age). Any other questions (NOT here already) fire away we will gladly help you if we can... Hope to se you in the line soon--- One more below

Ouch!
I really did try to find those answers.
Thank you. Do I dare ask a few more questions?
1) It appears that there are two classes a month. Is this correct? And is it consistent that there about 20 to a class? Are the class dates consistent with a particular day(s) of the month they start?
2) And it looks like that when you are asked about a class date that you will be given at least three weeks notice? Is this right?
I apologize if these have been answered but I did spend a couple hours trying to get specific answers and must have missed those points with the over 3000 posts I had to go through. Whew!
Thank you for your patience.

As far as the class date, its when they have an opening and you can fill it. Do NOT try to push it back more than 2 classes out as they will likely pull your offer and make you interview all over again....

Classes start every other monday. As for size, they range from 20s to mid/upper 30s....

I guess I need to apologize to you? Didn't mean to put you out?
I really don't know where to go with your angst.

If you were wanting the most recent info of how base selection, class selection and whatever the current practice is.... Why wouldn't you start reading from back to front? A little logic goes a long way.
Not a big deal, nobody really cares anyway. It just gets old hearing "I've searched through the thread but......" and then hearing the same questions once a month.
