I think a recommendation from an AA guy is the same as an Eagle guy. It may move you up the stack, but you still have to pass the interview on your own.

By the way, I just heard from some one in hiring that they want 50 guys a month for the foreseable future. Get your apps in now...there is going to be huge movement in the coming months.

Im guessing AA recalls will be picking up the pace. Rumors of going from 30/mo to 50/mo+ recalls to AA.

that is only for the last 184 (about) for recall all the rest have to wait for new hire classes. I am going to go with the latter of my question and say this is all do to the new FTDT and the companies got a heads up.

AA is in no way expanding, just as eagle is not except the 22 CRJ's. It is just reducing frequencies somewhere and add a new city to pick up the slack and make it look as is you are expanding. Old playbook just so AA/AMR can get there name in the news.

Ya, there are 254 pilots with AA seniority numbers that havent chosen to go to AA or stay at Eagle. They will get mixed in with the AA recalls by seniority order.

Youre welcome, I've been there and done that with the FCC page and finding the right license. I know it is a serious pain in the a**!

is it true the new ones have expiration dates?

Word down here is that ALL remaining 2,000 furloughees will be offered recall by this time next year. Acceptence rates vary but up to 700 are actually expected to return. Add in the extra pilots from the FTDT, the age 65 retirements soon to hit huge, and the Sup W remedy has given just about every Eagle Captain a seat at the big table. Which all means that there will likely be 1500+ new Eagle captains in the next few years.
AA is putting on extra schoolhouse guys, Eagle has added theirs as well, and word is they even posted for 3 more Captains to help in hiring. Get in now, while you can.
