Thanks Stryker. It surprised me though as I don't see where the need for so many pilots. Even when the next 200+ go to AA the 824 will leave at a 1:1 with new hires off the street for AA. Add to that the parking of the ATR's and AMR's burning desire to diversify their regional feed and it would seem 700 is a bit much.

But what the heck do I know. I'm clearly not seeing the picture.

I bet those projections change.

How long before "travel companion" benefits kick in?

Are they still sending you home during different training phases?

Thank you!

Companion travel should be in the system Friday when you do HR at the end of Indoc.
Jets still go home for a week after indoc. I know that sim and IOE are getting backed for the ERJ. I was at sim in July and I'm still trying to finish up IOE in October.

When did you do your checkride? If you go more than three months from check ride to line check you get to do your checkride again.

Incorrect...you have 3 months to get 100hrs in the airplane. If not you have to go back for a checkride.

You have to include retiring people and moving to other companies. Ex: Fedex, JetBlue, etc...

Consolidation of Knowledge ...120 days (4 months )from date you passed your SIC type ride .I believe a line check after being signed off by a check airman instead of going back to sim will suffice...most airlines will not let you get that far and will assign you flying to save $

Sec. 121.434 — Operating experience, operating cycles, and consolidation of knowledge and skills.
(g) Except as provided in paragraph (h) of this section, pilot in command and second in command crewmembers must each acquire at least 100 hours of line operating flight time for consolidation of knowledge and skills (including operating experience required under paragraph (c) of this section) within 120 days after the satisfactory completion of:
(1) Any part of the flight maneuvers and procedures portion of either an airline transport pilot certificate with type rating practical test or an additional type rating practical test, or

(2) A §121.441 proficiency check.

When you get hired by eagle and you are under the 800/100, do you get a eagle class date as well as the RJ class ATP? Or do they wait until you pass the course to give you a class date?
