Would they hire and wait to start training until then? Kind of a broad question I realize. If anybody knows if they (or any other regional) does this kind of thing I would be interested.

Well I work with guy at a flight scool and he got hired by PSA.(interviewed a week ago) And after he graduates in the fall he will have a class in Jan or Feb. So I would apply.

so once you are done with class at ATP, do you know immediately about a class date or do you have to wait a while for that also? and will eagle call you before then after you have passed the review board?

Are the ATRs being parked? I thought the leasing company was taking them back to lease to some one else.

I am not 100% certain on the hiring process with the low time. My understudying is that you will interview then pass the review board (they have been doing fairly quickly, 2 weeks or less) then you attend the RJ course and finally given a class date. The process can take about 2 months.

Rumors, Rumors & more Rumors. ATRs have been parked (3 of them so far). The ATR flying has decreases as more flying is shifted out of San Juan (Eagle ATR) to Miami (AA 737). Miami ERJ base is up and running so some of the ATR flying out of MIA has decreased as well. We are in the slow time of the year and some of the ATRs are approaching heavy checks and the age of the airplanes will lead to them being parked. AMR is painting the airframes with the most life left, so you will see them fly a bit more.

It's actually up to the applicant to get their paperwork back on time. I interviewed on a monday and heard that friday. I only had 1 PRIA source, my current employee and she faxed it back the following morning. Checked with LC on Wednesday to see if I needed anything else and she said I was good for captains review board.

I joked that friday thinking I might hear back from eagle, and I checked my phone to see I had a missed call. Was told I passed review!

So what I tell everyone - get your paperwork done ASAP. Hound your previous employers to make sure they go quick. Although some places, specifically shady ones or where people have burned bridges, will wait the full 30 days.

Again, why I said that they have been turning it around in about 2 weeks or less. But with the Holiday season fast approaching and guys with low times having to attend the RJ course, the whole process could take about 2 months.

Miami ATR is rumored to decrease by a couple lines. That's what's being rumored around the crew room. I personally think the Miami embraer base is kind of a dumb idea. All the lines leave the Miami system. Might as well be based in Chicago or New York. The embraer can't pick up the ATR on some routes do to the over water ops. and T/O performance. Will see what the future holds for Miami.

your joking about MIA trips for EMJ right?? There are a boat ton of trips to/from mia, most are 2+ hours.
