TURE... It's not something one would like to do if had a choice.

I really hope that things work out in a decent way for all the Guys at AE.

Goodbye upgrades, getting a half decent QOL. Hello to being on reserve/sitting right seat forever, as gobs of Mesaba/Colgan prop guys jump in ahead of us on the 200. I know this will get flamed mericilessly.

What are you trying to say here? You mean you did not know about the merger coming in and that quick upgrades were a thing of the past? Pilots who were hired before June 10th of 2010 or whatever the date is can complain about the above. We, new hires within the last year, after that date were going to be intergrated by DOH from the get go within all 3 companies, I understand having sympathy for your fellow workers who did get screwed but there is no reason to hold a grudge towards those XJ/9L guys (especially after only being here the amount of time you have been)... Your still on the CRJ, you did not get screwed, and comments/thinking like you stated will not help the pilot group who should be considered equal to you now. Sorry but that comment really rubbed me the wrong way because thinking like that will only tear pinnacolaba apart. None of the Pinnacolaba flavors taste better than the other, but they all were needed to make our fruity a$$ drink.

What grudge? Mergers happen. It doesn't really bother me personally since things were done by seniority (more or less, won't get into fences), NOT by aircraft ala the Eagle ATR only furlough rumor...Fact is many folks integrated ahead myself from the props to the 200. Fact is that puts me behind in terms of upgrade and QOL matters. How can that be disputed? Again I am thankful it was done by seniority, not by aircraft. If I got furloughed/shorted because I was on the wrong aircraft...what the frick!

I guess the sarcasm wasn't obvious when I said come to PCL (or really any other airline) and do that...that seems so crazy to things that way. Never heard of it.

Ahh didnt totally catch the sarcasm, no biggie. BUT the longer upgrade arguement does not apply to you and I because we just go straight by DOH, the fences do not apply to us... So the time for you to upgrade was the same on day 1 as it is now, actually its gone down because of attrition and upgrades. QOL yes you have a point, and I agree with the influx of guys to DTW it doesnt help. Last but not least furloughing out of order is F'ed up.

Yeah, for sure to all of that....but if management came in and said, "hey 200 pilots, you are going to get put behind all the prop pilots." That would be messed up. I can't figure out why Eagle could pick and choose like that.

One things is for certain, we are having allot of issues with the ATRs in DFW, we are canceling a large number of flight and often running out of equipment. Last week the broken ATRs were the only ones that didn't need inspection overnight so the ones that were airworthy had to fly to the overnights not spend the night but just return empty back to DFW because of the inspections due. Last night at one point over half the fleet was broken, and then add the weather we are hint on top of that and the operations is a mess!

This is the last thing AMR needs. Park those pos old planes once and for all.

Ahh all the fleet's are POS. Except the CRJ they are newer? Expect a whole lot of parking going on.

The CRJ's break just like all the other fleets. ATRs have been a POS for a while however sometimes you have to know what's grounding and what can be dealt with later!

RomeoSierra 12-06-2011 03:56 PM

Does AMR even own the ATRs? I thought they were just leased and we aren't renewing the lease? Nothing will probably happen for awhile and things will get sorted out. That's my take on things going on
