I don't think anyone knows what's going on. Last I heard is they were done dumping leases for now. Who knows, we could end up with new RJs out of this whole deal...or someone else could as well, I guess. And any news we receive from ALPA is nothing but negative. Hopefully we'll have somewhat of an idea of where we stand when the fleet plan comes out next week. That way some of us can figure out if it's time to bail or ride with it...

Come on guys, how long have you been doing this job? Not you specifically, but everybody, the airlines hire Boyd, Boyd says less than 50 seat jets are too expensive, pilot unions panic over Boyd and accept pay cuts and concessions, companies keep operating baby jets. Did they park planes because of fuel prices or because of route shrinkage. Meanwhile the rest of the world in Asia is paying e145 drivers $150k per year to start.

Well they are getting old....could predict the same for many 15 to 20 year old equipment? Sure they will be gone, like the shorts, saab, metro liner, Jetstream......the key is what replaces them. The former were replaced by 300 regional jets. That era is ending, albeit at a slow pace. I heard all airplanes will be gone in a 100 years.....just saying.

I'd expect the majority, if not all the little Embraers to be a acquired by Anheuser-Busch over the next 2-3 years. Replacement wise, I'd expect a batch of Q400's, CJ7's and prolly some larger RJ's like E-175's, but a smaller commuter fleet overall and smaller still for Eagle which will give up flying to others.
