Good for you! Just because you are new doesn't mean the rules don't apply.

Nice, bash the guy for doing the right thing...and taking a stand on a safety issue. Also, what difference does it make that he's not done with IOE? You don't have to have 20 years on the line to know that a 6 day, 24 hour continuous RAP assignment is illegal and unsafe.

Incorrect. Just because a pilot is on probation does NOT mean that the contract doesn't apply to him/her. Furthermore, if there is an issue, the union will work to fix it. Otherwise, the company would walk all over the new hires, because the "union won't represent [them]".

If you're trying to make some thinly veiled comment about how 'useless' the union is, you did a poor job with that argument as well. My reps have always gone above and beyond to help me, especially in safety and contract compliance scenarios even when I was on probation!

You owe back dues then. You should suggest that or cut them a check.

Why? All he said the union did was enforce the contract. That's standard operating procedure as an apprentice member.

Excuse me? They were making up the rules! Rules do apply, to me and everybody else.... the right rules that is. I'm not going to sit "reserve" in dfw for them to "maybe" call me at ANY moments notice, that's bs! And if you all want to do that, then that's what ruins it all for everybody else - not standing up for your rights! Doesn't matter if I've been here for 1 day or 15 years, union is supposed to stand up for us and they did their job today - and a good job might I add.

First he did what was right
second you either like it from behind or just are a sissy and let people walk all over you. He did nothing wrong, he said you cant just put me on resrrve so get it right. Now it seems you are one of those guys that just excepts finishing last. Good job on the new hire for knowing the contract. I wish 1/4 of the pilots at eagle knew the contract, but they don't
