what we have here is a failure to communicate.

MASON32 is correct.

What is against the FAR's is that as PIC you failed to log in the maintenance log book an aircraft discrepncy and carried the aircraft for a few legs or that the SIC failed to mention a discrepency to the PIC. What is against the company policy is to violate any far's and to be unsafe in your performance as PIC or SIC.

Now is that more clear.

Hell, in ORD the pilots deice aircraft just because the atis says flurries but it is clear skies. Comply with FMP-1. First you have to read it.

So I saw via the Eagle ALPA Facebook page that we can email some guy to find out our in-base P2P rep -- and get info on our counter proposal..anyone else try the same thing or get a response? I'm still waiting...guess my meager FO-salary union dues aren't good enough to get a quick reply...

Anyone else notice this on yesterdays Eaglewire:

From Aviation Week

EMBRAER EXPECTS FLOOD OF LARGE REGIONAL JET ORDERS FROM U.S. CARRIERS

Expected changes to AMR Corp.’s scope clause provision with its American Airlines pilots should result in large orders from U.S. carriers, said Embraer’s President for Commercial Aviation. He said that American will place a “huge order” in the next year, noting “this will be the driver” for others, including Delta Air Lines – which is ridding its regional feed of many 50-seat jets – to seek more regional jets in the 70-plus size range, which includes Embraer’s E-175 airframe.

If this isn't the old quote from when they entered BK, then this is the second time he has said this. While it may be true, I think he is talking up his company. I think it's pretty safe to say what he said. 700's while a better plane are not nice for passengers, on the flip side the 170 and 175's are nice for the passengers.
