Would the chances of a new hire getting a New York base be pretty good? Seems like the junior base over there.

AllisonRR 10-31-2012 12:34 PM

I would say that it is very likely since the most junior recalled pilot is 3181 and its headed to JFE (JFK FO Embraer)

Most junior will probably be going to MIA and NY. DFW might be tough as there were a few displacements.

yet the last class had DFW. I think if they really do hire 400 any base will be easy, you will be able to transfer before you finish class!

If Eagle is really hiring 400 get in now, because being on the front of a wave is everything. Beats Republic who pays $23/hr first year and not much more second year, and has almost the same upgrade time.

What is the estimated time to upgrade?

8 years. we like our captains to be seasoned.

Disgruntled is more like it.

8 years? That sucks.

Right now the most junior capt is a 2006 hire. But you know how upgrades go. Could go to 2yrs or 15yrs depending on what happens the next few months and where the new planes go.
