Emergency Landing

I just saw on the news where it looks like Eagle made an emergency landing last night in Pittsburgh.

Anyone know what happened?

News reported no injuries.

Don't know if this is the same emergency you were talking about or a different one. Sounds like the crew did a nice job!

At least it seems like the smoke started coming in during the approach. A good time for it to start.

They flew over a house fire.

That was simply a preliminary guess, which turned out to be false. It seems the number two pack almost completely seized up, likely causing the smoke in the cabin. Number one was already deferred.

It is/was. Sorry I caught the tail end of the report and thought they said Pittsburg.

Nice job by the crew. However those smart passengers who never listen to the safety demo never seem to disappoint me with their level of stupidity.

Yeah I figured it was the same. It started with a P so it's close.

I thought it was funny how they were talking about how high the wing is off the ground. Everyone always comments how small the plane is...

An AD or req'd inspection for ATR came up, I guess by surprise, and the fleet was grounded. SJU was mess.
