Thats not what I got. I got he was here, and during the rock bottom of doom/gloom something else happened in his life, maybe someone was dying for example. They then died and he realized he should not have quit. He tried to unquit and could not. He then was unemployed and went to CHQ. He then quit because its RAH holdings and that part I get. He has been unemployed and might get a job flying for some rich guy that he met at the bank. Sounds like a rough rode, and he is over 50 so bouncing back is even harder.

I dont know the guy, but thats what I got out of the posts.

That's EXACTLY what I interpret too.

Being objective, RJ, that is exactly the way I would have looked at it. When I spoke to the AE hiring manager 2 months and two airlines was exactly his concern. He ask me the exact questions I would have ask someone that had my recent history. When I was told that there was no way I could get back to AE I applied to RAH thinking they would never call me. 20 minutes later I received an email inviting me to an interview. Remember, at that point there was no chance of going back to AE. I thought CHQ would be like Eagle. I admit I did not do my research on RAH and I made some assumptions that were very wrong. Stuck it out for about 5 weeks waiting for something positive to happen. Had I not been at Eagle, RAH wouldn't have seemed so bad. Decided to cut my losses and move on. Like I said in an earlier post I take full responsibility for my actions and decisions.

As far as coming back with some seniority? I just had to ask. All they can do is say no which is the answer I expected and received. I really didn't expect to get my seniority back.

Pretty much nailed it!

Good luck then, things happen for a reason.

lakehouse 01-13-2013 02:53 PM

if the bank guy deal falls through, I still find it shocking AE wont let you come back as a new hire.

love2av8 01-13-2013 03:29 PM

Yeah pretty soon it will be a 10k bonus and 2nd year pay to start so you would be coming back with a raise and only sacrificing a small amount of seniority. Better than starting over somewhere else.
