Dude - ***? RT is a good dude in real life, he's a good pilot... he's just excited to land an airline gig, so what? I'm sure you weren't the slightest bit excited about getting your first gig.

TM is a totally different story... RT hasn't claimed to be anything that he isn't... nor has he had any crazy articles published about him in ALPA mags. That's BS and you know it.

For everyone's sake, this is an internet forum designed to enhance knowledge, gouge, etc.... can we just keep away from the personal attacks and trying to sabatoge someone before you've met them?

Everyone started with trying to help him, then he started with the attacks back and couldn't take constructive criticism. You can know a lot about someone before you meet the individual.

I get that... just drawing the line between some good advice "Hey dude, keep it cool, calm down, etc" and some BS comment like "RT = TM"

Mod Note:

This thread is presumably about life at Eagle. As I understand it, Eagle is hiring and some here got a job offer and indeed, is going to start class soon. This is wonderful news so don't ruin a good thread launching juvenile attacks at each other.

To rickt86, I'm sure you're a good kid, but stop being so unseemly and grasping. This is a tough world and a thicker skin might do you some good. The people who can help you are right here on the forums. There is no need to start making enemies even before you start training.

To the rest of you, resist the urge to post equally silly things at each other.

I will not hesitate to close threads or impose disciplinary action for those who can't abide by a few simple rules. You all are supposed to be airline pilots, for God's sake. Act like a professional.

Mod spanked a couple guys, now nobody wants to post anymore. LOL.

Well, I still have an interview next week, and I'm still worried about the sim portion of it since i have no G1000 time, or a lot of experience with the Jepp charts. I have the King's DVDs that cover the Jepp charts and plates, they're a little goofy, but their info is always good! lol.

What i don't have any access to, and can't order and recieve in time, are the Jepp plates for the possible sim approaches i'd have to do, i believe from the gouges the possibilities would be LAX, MEM, or DFW (unless someone knows differently). Would anyone want to do me a major 'solid' and scan those plates and email them to me? I know it's a huge favor, and if nobody has time that's fine, but it would be awesome to be able to put eyes on them before next tuesday.

Thanks!

Use the NOS charts to review for the SIM, if you know how to read Jepps you will be fine. During tech you will see allot of Jepps questions so make sure you know the symbol and how to read an IAP, SID, STARS and Enroute Charts. You will have time to look over the approach chart before the SIM, don't worry about the G1000, most of the time you will be asked to follow the FD so just put it on the V bars.

G1000 is not hard, you just follow the Command Bars, and whatever VSI that gives you in the ILS with the FD on, use that same VSI number for the ILS with no FD.

I didn't saw the approach plates before interview, just be sure to know the symbology and how to read it, that should be enough.

Cool. I was reviewing the NOS charts as backup anyway. Thanks for the advice.

Remember the Sim is just a computer. 1 and 0 is the only thing it reads.

The only plate I reviewed was the DFW airport diagram and it was a NOS, just to be familiar with it.

Just relax, you'll do fine.
