Take full advantage of your extra days off.

I like that idea too.... Might do that when I get some more money.... Right now I'll hang with the kids...

Gotta be careful with that. depending on the timing and what days you pick up a new trip, it doesn't always pay you the extra. I dont have the rules in front of me and been about 5 months since I played the game.

so before you start just picking up OT after a displacement, be sure to give the union a call and get clarification on the rules and how you will be paid when you pick up.

No need to do a trip for free.

If there's something I could train better on it's union rules and the contract. Not knowing that really puts one at a disadvantage. I'm working on it though...

Thanks for the tip.

TC

You can't. Well actually, the previous month stays there until about halfway into the next month, but anything prior to that is gone from sabre. You can do a 7V/employee# to see how many hours you flew each month, but the sequences aren't there any more. However, under Epays on jetnet, you can look at your past activity and pay sheets down there below your pay statements, and pretty much everything is on them. That's what I'm using now to catch up my logbook, and I've got a lot of catching up to do.

For those coming out of training, no one has really said it on here, your going to have one REALLY BAD paycheck because they take back per diem from your last check based on when you finished IOE. So if you finish IOE on the 4th of the month, your check on the 15th will have training pay till the 15, but then on the 30th you will have 11 days taken out of per diem which is like $300, plus your first month of line pay does not have per diem because you get per diem a month later. IE you might get like a $400 pay check, instead of the $1100 you are used to in training. Just an FYI, so someone doesnt come up short on rent/food money.

It is only one check, but your first check after IOE will be like $400-$600 for 2 weeks, because they adjust overpayment from the last one. If you can try and finish IOE near the 15th or 30th.

Ya was a huge surprise, was enjoying the training pay, then I got that check for $600 less and was like OUCH. It gets better the month after that, that one check just hurts because they adjust for over payment from the check before based on when you finish IOE, I finished on the 4th but got per diem till the 15th so they took a ton back, plus I had not gotten per diem for that month of line flying, because per diem is paid the end of the following month.

I didn't know that either and I've been with Eagle for over 4.5 years. I'll be going through IOE again but am scheduled to complete it on the 23rd of the month. Now I can plan for that issue.

Thanks.....

Then the second month final paycheck will only have the per diem from the 15-30 (or 31) of the last month.

So plan about 4 to 5 paychecks around 600 before you get the perdiem of a full month.

Just a heads up. ;)

After that if you work your ass off you can get a final monthly payment of 1400 to 2200. But you'll have to break guarantee and get some OT.

What I do is work a lot one month, then next month take it a bit easier.

Of course if you're on the bottom of the reserve list it will be difficult to break guarantee. It can be done like when you're approaching the middle of the list.

lakehouse 05-28-2011 05:19 PM

ya, what is average total month pay at guarantee with some flying while on rsv? About 2000?

f16jetmech 05-28-2011 07:24 PM

Hey what does Scheduling look like when is reservists have drill? I know by law any company can't give me a hard time about it, but do they count it towards my days off or what?
