Check your arrogance and entitlements at the home next time and deal witht the fact that mainline employees will always get on ahead of you. Thats the way it's always been, always will be and always should be. If you don't like it than buy a ticket or drive

I agree in a branded scope single seniority list too, but neither is gonna happen.
for most sub-contractors out there, just be glad it aint worse. Go fly for ACME corporate and see how you like their airline pass bennies.

to all the people giving me crap: If you work at mainline I beg beg beg you to bring the flying back to mainline and put me out of work. The sad part about this industry is that in an effort to reach my end goal of working at a major airline and having all the perks that come along with that goal I have to be apart of the problem that brings down the future of that position. The military is an option instead of the RJ but lets be honest, once you go military these days you are going military for life.

The sad part about this industry is that in an effort to reach my end goal of working at a major airline and having all the perks that come along with that goal I have to be apart of the problem that brings down the future of that position. Maybe with all of the looming retirements that will change.

So you're saying that a 23 year old hired by a regional in his first year in the airline industry should have the same travel benefits as someone who flew for 10 years and then got hired by the major that is the brand? Or a military guy who flew in the service for 10 years and then got hired by a major?

No, but because of the way things are set up, yes. The 23 year old should have 10 less years seniority at the SAME company on the SAME seniority list. But we all know that will never happen now. SO yes since that 23 year old is doing the same job flying the SAME passengers Yes he should have the same priority.

You are entitled to your opinion but that's all. Go get on the junpseat and be thankful for that when you want to get to work. When it comes time to go on vacation buy a ticket if you want me to agree you should get on a flight ahead of me on my company.

I can assure you I will not be buying a ticket on your company. I get treated like crap enough at work. I sure am not going to put up with it as a paying passenger on vacation too.

The jumpseat has nothing to do in this conversation. Why even bring that up? The simple fix for this is to not let YOUR company contract out anymore flying. It is YOUR company right? Tell YOUR company to stop contracting out flying.
