Sort of, you have to remember that no one will be senior to someone that you are currently junior to at your own company.

At XJ, there are a lot of Saab Captains and a few FO's that can hold jet Captain positions.

So, you create a list as IF these pilots were already in these seats, and then merge the lists together.

And it has to be decided how to integrate each category between companies. DOH, 2 for 1, Relative.......

One could argue that you brought a pilot group that is excess 200+ pilots as all but 7 saabs leave the property. These future potential furloughs will fall on the shoulders of new hires at Colgan and Pinnacle who did not have the career expectation of being furloughed. Just making a point to your counter point to his point. You can see why this is in arbitration, it's complicated.

6 or so more days, stay strong folks.

Oh I agree completely, the point I'm making is all groups bring something to the table, I think there are pros and cons to what each group brought and I think they mostly all outweigh each other...something I hope Mr. Bloch will recognize... we will just have wait and see...

The latest email from the 9e mec seems a bit ominous with regards to SLI. Anyone else from 9e have a take on it?

Seniority List Integration
This week, Mr. Block, the arbitrator who is presiding over our seniority list integration, notified all 3 merger committees that his Decision and Award is almost complete and will be released on or before next Friday, May 20.
In the mean time, all pilots need to begin mentally preparing for a decision which may or may not be viewed as favorable when considered by the individual pilot. With the exception of one or two of our pilots, every pilot can expect to move down the Integrated Seniority List exponentially when compared to their current seniority standing.
Also remember in this integration there is no “bumping” and no “flushing” of the seniority list. With respect to your current vacancy award, no one can be removed from their position solely as a result of the arbitrator’s award.
Once we accept these facts, we can begin to move forward as one company, making this merger a success and working together with our brethren from Mesaba and Colgan as new colleagues

Doesn't look ominous to me.

Just preparing people for the reality of SLI regardless of how it is integrated.

Anyone wonder where Mesaba's pilots for the 21 saab's that are being phased out will end up? If Colgan does not get more q's I see displacement bids to find a home for the 200 or so Mesaba pilots leading to the F word.

It sounds like they already know something though.

Colgan is hiring like crazy, so fast the training department cant keep up. Pinnacle is also hiring although not as many.

I am sure we can find a place for those 200 pilots without the F bomb.

I don't think so.

It's just if a pilot is used to a number, let's say 500 at 9E, they will have to get used to a number that is a good bit greater than that after the dust settles.
