If you are that low you either not too long ago were sitting in a regional airline or military. Either way your senior pilots there gave that flying away with a lack of scope. So it would appear to not be your job.... Thank your peers.

fyi I'm not a rah supporter but I don't support a BS claim either.... I don't think many rah guys like it anymore then we do either. But mainlines need to fix scope!!!!

Its guy's like Sambo and dosbo that make me embarrassed to be an airline pilot. It can not be said enough... the reason you guys are always having to snarl at regional guys messing things up in the industry is because of YOU and your fellow selfish ass pilot group!

As far as this thread goes, I disagree, its not Republic that is the new laughing stock! Its guys at the legacy carriers that sold scope away and now ***** and whine about getting bitten in the ass by it! Now aint that about a B****?!?

You are right mainline does need to fix scope which I hope the JCBA does. And if the scope does get improved or fixed resulting in a loss of regional jobs, can I assume there will be no bit&^%$ing about the loss of regional jobs.

When I was hired prior to the age 65 deal I had reasonable expectations. But when an entire fleet is parked resulting in a massive furlough yet regional feed increases by 14% then I say yes my job was outsourced and is being currently flown by regional pilots.

Are they the only ones to blame? No, there is plenty of blame for many different groups. But as long as they are willing to fill the bottom end of the pipe for low wages then management will go to extream measures to take advantage of those cheap wages. For example the 70 seaters using CO code in IAH violating thier scope, management response was to simply change it to UA code when challenged.

How is it selfish that I think all aircraft painted with UAL livery should be flown by a United pilot?

The passengers are paying for a UAL ticket and that is what they think they are getting, when in fact the product is being outsourced to a lower bidder.

What it going to be a real B**ch as you say, is if scope is not fixed and in the future all flying is outsourced or joint ventured. Your career will be at places like republic and go jet which is where you will be retiring from. But with the whipsaw game no one regional will be stable long enough for a pilot to actually retire from any regional.

Were all just a bunch of wh0res and prostitutes, the only difference is the pay rate.

Difference between a wh0re and a prostitute?

Prostitutes do it for a living to make money.

Wh0res do it for free because its fun.

Which one are you?

Perhaps that one line right there should have been the over riding mentality of the guys who "got theirs" when they gave up scope and yanked the ladder up behind them. Without that there would be no need to snarl at the regional guys/gals taking your jobs because those jobs would be mainline. Go back to the source of why it is the way it is now and snarl at that rather than trying to squash all the worms let out of the perverbial can when the old farts greed put us all in this current environment of outsourcing and division just to make sure their 5 ex wives, boat and summer home continued to be paid for.

You'd also be employed still if not for 65. Those are the same pilots who sold scope out. Now as we all suffer because of them we must also push for changes. Remember who truly is to blame.... Had it been not changed 50 plus seat flying would be where it belongs. Had 60 not been changed your life would be flying high at ual. Had both never changed you'd have been even higher.... So the regional drivers are to blame? Maybe a shared blame with 85/15 split. 85% mainlines fault for the above two reasons. Scope and 65!!!!

Couldn't agree with you more.

But with the above statement in mind, what are/were CAL and UAL's first year wages? Not too impressive. UAL's subsequent NB years aren't exactly stellar either. Never mind CAL's lack of insurance, etc.

And NOPE, I'll NEVER argue that staying at a "regional" is better than even the crappiest legacy.

But pilots willing to work for substandard wages is not restricted to one segment of the career while chasing the oh so elusive "payoff".

In that case, i guess for now i'm both a prostitute and a w****!......the only difference is that i (and i believe most of us) don't want to stay a cheap "prostitute" earning pathetic wages. It's the aspirations of starting at the bottom of the barrel and slowly and eventually make the transition into "porn" and someday attain "jenna jameson" status in the industry by working and retiring from a place like swa or fedex or dal.

What a stupid comment Meyers. Of course you're not a "rah supporter", you work for PSA. Who are you a "supporter" of? What a strange comment.
