Great Lakes....YGBSM!!

Restating the obvious:
The OP is way off base.
Lakes was, is, and always will be known for their treatment (lack there of) of their pilots.
I flew for them for 6 months back in 1999 (they didnt have a training contract back then)
Lakes was the first place that "said yes" and I was sick of CFIing and knew it was time to move on.
You should appreciate the fact that they are being honest about what kind of outfit they are.

I gotta say, I agree with the OP.
I recently got interview offers from Delta, Spirit, Virgin America, and Jet Blue. They sent me similarly informative emails. Being up-front as this was disgustingly offensive to me as well so I reacted just like the OP did.
I sent emails back to them asking how they expected me to leave a place with a complete lack of communication for one that actually has the audacity to tell me what I should expect!
No one tells me what to expect but me!

So I get this email today. I know you shouldnt read tone into an email, but just the way this read made me think these guys are a bunch of pricks. I HOPE I AM WRONG for those of you that work there, but they dont pay enough for me to put up with stuff like this.
I wrote back recommending that they adjust the way they correspond with people realizing that people come to them for a quick touch and go to build hours, but people dont deserve to be treated like this.
Note the NO PAY for training and Williston ND or NM....***!!
email below:

Sounds like your typical email response to any aviation job I've ever applied for. Straight forward, to the point with here is what you need and here is what you get.
Wish more places posted like that to let you know exactly what you are getting in to.
So for now I continue to do stalls and falls in the mighty DA20 for $78K/year.
