I think that you may have exercised bad judgement on this one and as pilots sometimes that is the most important tool. They were offering you enough rope to hang yourself with and it was honest and "cool" for them to let you know "Hey this is what your ******* Sandwich is gonna taste like". I echo the same sentiments as those above when I say' hey at least they were honest. I will also say that reading tone in electronic communication is very dangerous.
And what's with the ERAU generalizations... I kinda want to fly a forehead and I'm not gonna get all butthurt but I don't believe all the bad press I'm gonna get cause some dikhehd felt he was Gods gift to aviation. If they were so bad then stow them in the LAV tank.
Sincerely,

Sounds like your typical email response to any aviation job I've ever applied for. Straight forward, to the point with here is what you need and here is what you get.
Wish more places posted like that to let you know exactly what you are getting in to.
So for now I continue to do stalls and falls in the mighty DA20 for $78K/year.

what does it cost per semester at riddle? I pay 2K a semester at my aviation college, do regionals offer riddle grads better pay rates because your degree is that much better than most aviation schools?

When I got hired at UAL in 1997 during the interview the Captain sat down introduced himself asked me about myself. Once the niceties were done he in no uncertain terms stated that many new hires were going to the panel in either Anchorage on the DC-10 or Honolulu on the 747. UAL would not help with your moving costs, how are you going to deal with that if it happens to you?
Answer; "I would love to based in either Anchorage or Honolulu and I'll find a way to make it work out, I always have and I always will make an opportunity out of any situation thrown my way."
Of course at the time I didn't want ANYTHING to do with either Anchorage or Honolulu. That's not the point..
Moral of the story is that you have to play the game if you want to participate in this industry. If you need to build some turbine PIC tell them anything they want to hear hit em and quit em and move on. It's a good thing you don't want to work there however because that letter you sent them was most likely a permanent never going to work there ever, for you.

Oh and BTW of the 21 guys in my new hire class at UAL 11 were Riddle grads. You guys crack me up when you get all riled up about your colleges. In the real world NOBODY gives a Shiite where you went to school.

I thought all primary instruction was conducted at UPT bases or jointly at NAS Whiting Field for pilot candidates.
How far do you take a pilot candidate?
Seems like a good job for $78k and living in CO
