Understand that there is no communication from Mgmt on this; we just know that all upgrading CA’s have been told their class is postponed but the transitioning EMB FO’s (EMB FO – RJ FOs) still have their classes scheduled. I assume that all new hires still have the green light since we’re ridiculously understaffed on RJ FOs.

You do realize that UAL has like 10 UEX carriers, right?
I can guarantee you it's not because it affords them operational efficiency. Competing one supplier against every other seems to be pulled chapter and verse from the bible of modern American capitalism.

You obviously don't fly or connect for UAL.
Just as Golden Bear said, UAL has more contract-carriers to whipsaw against each other and anyone else. Heck they were the ones who took the whipsaw craze to a whole new level and used it to attempt to outsource their entire airline both domestically and internationally.
