I'm a happy FlyWife...been through flight school and the whole nine yards...he's been an FO for five years and we have four kids! Its tough sometimes, but totally do-able. AND if your Hubby is committed to you, its not a problem to have a relationship with a pilot! Its finally starting to pay off a bit, and life will keep getting better as the kids get older, pay increases, seniority increases...etc. The first year SUCKED, and second wasnt much better....but so worth it! The perks are amazing...and I am so grateful for them as I was able to go back and forth to see my mom before she died...
Good luck to you guys!

And if anyone can stay fit as a pilot, it will be my husband-he'd saw off his arm before he missed a workout!

We actually HAD flight benefits for about 8 months-the school he went to, now Aerosim, was once Delta Connection Academy, so once he became an instructor we got bene's. Flew business elite class to and from South Africa-it was amazing!
@flywife....

Your hubby is interviewing 1st week AUG right, Did your husband go to Delta Academy as a student??
If yes, then tell him to make sure his 141 school paperwork comes back from the school before interview.

@PilotsWife4-I love hearing happy pilot-family stories! I know his first few years will suck-flight school and flight instructing has sucked, but it'll pay off!

Oh nice, What year did he go to DCA..
I know someone who went to DCA 2007-2009.
He was sent back within 30 mins on the interview day for the exact same reason, DCA changed to Aerosim & Eagle couldn't verify the 141 stage checks PRIA info......, seems odd but that's what I was told...

Tell your hubby to be pro-active about it....

I will definitely tell him-that would be a disaster! Hubs was at DCA starting in 2007 as well!
