I feel your pain. I'm a little over 4 years now with no great things in sight at 9E. I say if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. GoJets. You can either stick it out and wait for an eventual furlough or see yourself at 6, 7, and 8th year FO pay, or you can make the jump now and be a Captain there in 12 months or less. Those 12 Delta Connection jets start to come in January. And no one cares where you get the TPIC time, as is evident by GoJets pilots getting hired at Jetblue, Fedex, among others.

After the merger do you expect upgrade to increase or decrease?

Its gonna be a mess for sure. There is going to be a lot of anger (like there isnt enough already) when people start getting bumped out of domiciles and out of their seats.

I just got a call from Compass and Im considering it highly.

I have no idea. With the constant threat of losing 50 seaters it will just mean more people fighting for fewer upgrade slots with the combined list.The merger is going to take a long time. Three or four months ago ASA management was claiming we would see a single list by OCT 2011. That obviously will not happen. When ever we do merge I'm sure there will be all kind of fences, especially with the CRJ 700.

Management never promised a single Seniority list by that date. All they care about is a single operating certificate by the end of the year to keep the stock holders happy. The Seniorty List Integration may take much longer.

Just so you know, most SLI's have a basic system preventing any displacements based on domicile or seat. The only positions available will be vacancies.
