Sounds like you were Boston. I'm guessing you were held to staff the base til it closes since there will be no backfilling you need to stay til the end.

They could TDY people, they could have allowed a few to bid for earlier classes. They are TDYing 8 FOs alone for Dec and a couple CA, plus I think a CA or 2 are leaving Dec 1st for IAD. They do not need everyone up there anymore.

I feel your pain, I am stuck waiting til spring, missing out on another years' holidays while I wait. Everyone can't go at once. This place can't function properly with everyone on line. I am not looking forward to the abuse while 600 of us are rolling through training. All we can do is hope this temporary pain will make things better for next summer.

You must not be familiar with the way Pinnacle does things.

Yea, that's what seems to be the case. It makes sense to some extent, especially with the complexity of the award and associated movements.

That's what I'm most upset about. If they would have let everyone bid - the result would have been more or less the same with the exception of where the TDY's were coming from. I could see holding from other aircraft types, that becomes more complex, but it should pretty much be a wash in type. But I'm no expert...

Try the Hiring section, there is a thread on a Colgan class starting in a few days.

The Pinnacle side won't be hiring anytime soon. Don't even look forward to a crj class for new hires. The last vacancy went through till May and every new hire that will be brought on is going to the Colgan certificate. There is still a chance for current crj pilots at the bottom of the seniority list in the next vacancy to get displaced to a prop so chances are slim to nil for new hires with sjs.
