its not only a contract, it comes with a much much better ASA. I will vote for it, in hopes this place is propped up for 8 more years, and by then most of us are gone or on the way out. The goal is to prop this place up long enough to get all the CA to AA and all the FOs to the left seat for 1000 hours, or at least that is my take.

First off, I don't work at AE, but I used to work at a company that took concessions, twice, and still got downsized and had to start over. I wouldn't vote for something just to "keep the company around a little longer", you may be severely disappointed.
The new pay system doesn't sound too great. Are they passing any of that savings on to the pilots? Training is "a cost of doing business", pilots shouldn't have to subsidize that for the company.
Also, I'd be wary about the financial penalty for parking aircraft. ALPA gets to decide what to do with the cash...hell no. All cash from penalties with regards to fleet reduction should be divided amongst the furloughed and downgraded as a result of those aircraft being parked.

Grab your ankles, bring your own vasoline and smile. Its the way the Airline Industry thanks you and your family for your tiredless effort, your hard work and dedication for bringing Comfort and Joy to the Shareholders and Top Level Management. Between annual enrollment in health insurance and inflation you lose money every year. Contract negoiations should address these very two factors before any metion of pay and work rules improvements start. As long as we continue to accept scraps and drink the kool-aid the Industry will only get better for those not involed in it. Just my 0.02 cents..oh actually .01 cents.. <Mod Edit>
