Not sure if any of you have checked out the recent "Airport Subsidies" thread, but have a read:
Airport subsidies: Rural lifeline or money waster? - CNN.com
I'm almost positive that all of the Montana and Pennsylvania routes are EAS routes... could be trouble, or it could be nothing..

My point is that the article speculates about literature/bills being proposed to banish the EAS route system. No EAS = no PA or MT flying for Silver Airways I'd assume. I may be wrong though. Apparently by the end of January, there will be some sort of proposal to try and get rid of them and use the money elsewhere. If its true, this wouldnt apply just to Silver, but GLA, Mesa, Colgan, etc... Like I said though, pure speculation at this point right meow...

Did any of the Dec 7th class use any study material for the B1900 before going to school? I know procedures and limitations change based upon operator, just curious if anyone use any systems book to have a good idea of what they're heading into. Whats the class schedule like? M-F or is it non stop all the way. CP on the phone explained that they positive space you to FLL for training, is that accurate? Has anyone on off days had the opportunity NRSA home?
When are you guys headed to MCO for sim training?
Good luck to all of you!
