"that was then, this is now..........."

But in the 2004-2006 time frame, with access to multiple training facilities as well as a full compliment of instructors, it was 64 new hires a month.

The hang up will probably be for instructors, hence the opening recently.

I'm trying to understand your point here but I'm not getting it. Can you try again?

This was not an official memo, but someone we talked to today while on our trip.

I'm pretty sure things are moving along a little bit faster on the XJT side, not sure though
Get ready for the SkyWest whipsaw!
What exactly do you mean?

I love how the asa guys refuse to admit that we have the better contract and that we should be using it as the base line for negotiation. Go ahead, continue defending that embarrassment of a contract, we'll just keep ours as is for the time being.

I was there when the asa mec walked out. No matter, 2850 votes to your 1700 will make everything clear. And so we're all on the same page, any TA that degrades our quality of life including PBS will get shut down! The financial health of the company is the responsibility of management, not the pilots.

That's exactly the opinion of pretty much everyone I have flown with since this merger began....its comical to think the ASA MEC thinks they have any control over the future contract. All we need is a little more than half of our guys to vote no an see ya later! We will not vote yes on anything less than an improvement over what we have. Period.

I dont see why people wont admit it, it is better. The ERJ contract should be the base we build from. A lot of people around my seniority believe that especially when it comes to reserve rules.

I'm with you, but what brought this post on? Where did the MEC walk out of?

Although saying we have "an embarrassment of a contract" might be a bit extreme...
