How much do you make doing what. I am a second year FO, year to date I have worked 12 days/month and am on track to make over 40,000.

Sadly I think the the airlines and their lobbyists will try to get the ATP rule watered down, or do anything to allow for an "easier" entrance into the airlines then raise pay. I think it'll be the last option. We'll see!

I should have said first year FO, I always think of the first year because I could never afford it. I am glad you are happy with 40000 but you are worth much more then that. What is sad is these higher pay rates could easily be achieved if we all paid 10 dollars more per ticket.

I question the decision making ability of anyone who got into over $100,000 of debt to get a degree just to learn how to fly airplanes.

$8 would go directly to management, $1.50 to the captain, $.50 to the FO !

Do you realize how pathetic $40k a year is for an airline pilot?

Do you realize what % of this country makes less than that, many of whom have master degrees. Heck we got more than a few flight attendants that have masters and quit being social workers to be FAs. Its optional to be here, everyone forgets that. Go try the job market right now doing other things, you can join the 1500 people who line up at a job fair for an $8/hr job. I want to make more money just as much as you do, but some of your sob stories are the environment we all create. You will sit here and cry, then go be a scab the next day. Same idiots that post about all this stuff, 6 months later are asking about gojet.

The personal insults will have to stop here. If you have valid points to make towards the arguments then please proceed. Insults hurled at other users will only led to the posts being deleted and the users not being able to post for awhile. No point in that. We all want to share our thoughts.
