Exactly.

While Comair would have to hire a bunch of year one employees, the cost between the two groups is not enough to engage in a purging in PNCL. Isn't funny how rumors like this occur when a decision by one group (PNCL negotiating terms on a new version of their JCBA) could potentially be affected by such "news"?

This thread is a joke....
717s at a regional wouldn't be good for anybody.

Thumbs down

Nobody panic! Incase you haven't heard, there is a massive pilot shortage right around the corner! Airlines will be kidnapping small children off the street and forcing them to fly 777s! Everybody rejoice.

I'm willing to bet GoJet will probably start operating 900s for DCI along with more 700s and Compass will probably grow at the same time with more E170/175s.

FWIW, last I checked the Skywest/ExpressJet DCI contracts are good until 2015 and the Chautauqua DCI contracts are good until 2014...

I normally would stand behind everything you just posted... but lets just say there is some possible truth to some of this (for the moment, which is subject to change in an hour). 717s not a chance... C-series barely maybe.. E175s a stronger chance.
I just heard this E175/Comair thing yesterday and looked at the person telling me like he had 5 heads... after it was explained to me it sounded "possible".
I thought it was total laughter too... but well... lets see what happens.
But your 100% right this would involve no 50 seaters on either side (Comair or Pinnacle)...

Im just passing what I heard... But I must say I'm really also still laughing at this.

I was told its in the Delta TA... But this I really cant buy... but these days anything is possible.

Oddly enough, this may not be rumor after all. Apparently all of PCL's ground station employees got layoff letters. That came out of MEM.
