Rumor: Pinnacle to cease operations
#53
Why would anyone give planes to Comair? Their crew costs have to be thru the roof with nothing but senior people there. If any regional gets a 717 or C-series, this career is over. There is going to be nothing left to move on to. I call b.s, but stranger things have happened.
While Comair would have to hire a bunch of year one employees, the cost between the two groups is not enough to engage in a purging in PNCL. Isn't funny how rumors like this occur when a decision by one group (PNCL negotiating terms on a new version of their JCBA) could potentially be affected by such "news"?

Nobody panic! Incase you haven't heard, there is a massive pilot shortage right around the corner! Airlines will be kidnapping small children off the street and forcing them to fly 777s! Everybody rejoice.

FWIW, last I checked the Skywest/ExpressJet DCI contracts are good until 2015 and the Chautauqua DCI contracts are good until 2014...

You guys are f'ing dreaming if you think Pinnacle is going to flow up into a some B scale. That's a laugher. I can't believe people even think that's remotely possible.
More like a drastic reduction of DCI 50 seaters offset by more 700/900's but still a reduction of DCI flying.

I just heard this E175/Comair thing yesterday and looked at the person telling me like he had 5 heads... after it was explained to me it sounded "possible".
I thought it was total laughter too... but well... lets see what happens.
But your 100% right this would involve no 50 seaters on either side (Comair or Pinnacle)...
Im just passing what I heard... But I must say I'm really also still laughing at this.
I was told its in the Delta TA... But this I really cant buy... but these days anything is possible.
